Rehabilitation Services
 WSCC OPC Physical Rehabilitation Department has an 800 sq. ft. suite dedicated to rehabilitation that is staffed by a licensed chiropractic physician who is board certified in chiropractic orthopedics and has additional post-graduate training in rehabilitation.


We provide rehabilitation for a number of musculoskeletal conditions including:


  • Lumbar and cervical herniated discs
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation of the spine and extremities
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Shoulder injuries and rotator cuff disorders
  • Hip, knee, and ankle injuries
  • Work and auto related injuries

Our rehabilitation suite includes:


  • Laser Therapy
  • Decompression/ traction therapy
  • Intersegmental traction
  • Treadmill
  • Wall gyms
  • Free weights
  • Physiotherapy balls
  • Rocker and wobble boards

 Our goal in the Physical Rehabilitation Department is to provide an integrated approach to active care that emphasizes restoration of functional activities for patients. With this goal in mind we design custom rehabilitation programs to match the needs of patients. This allows us to reach mutually agreed upon goals and to function as a team in a supportive environment. Our programs range from simple lumbar stabilization programs to advanced dynamic functional training programs for people with highly active lifestyles.


 Dr. Michael Burke is the Supervisor of the Rehabilitation Department at WSCC’s OPC. He is board certified in chiropractic orthopedics through the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists (ABCO) and has extensive post-graduate education in rehabilitation through the Southern California University of Health Sciences. Dr. Burke graduated from WSCC in 1980. He has been in private practice for over 25 years emphasizing a functional active care approach to the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders.
