The College Clinics provide settings where students can put into practice all they have learned during their years of study, treating--under professional supervision--patients from the community and the WSCC campus with all types of healthcare needs. ServicesWestern States Chiropractic Clinics provide a variety of conservative healthcare services. These conservative treatments or recommendations are applied to the cause of the condition, not just to the symptoms. Many conditions may benefit from the application of chiropractic services in the form of manipulation, physiologic therapeutics, exercise and rehabilitation, lifestyle counseling, and/or nutritional interventions. We may utilize radiology or laboratory services, as well as referrals to other health care practitioners to diagnose, co-manage or treat your condition. Our Clinical faculty are highly trained, many with additional degrees or certifications such as Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, Diplomates of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology, Diplomates of the Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists, and Certified Chiropractic Sports Physicians. The WSCC Diagnostic Imaging Center also provides services to outside physicians. The center provides low dosage, high quality diagnostic radiographic imaging, radiological interpretation and radiological reports. The Intern programInterns in the clinics are 3rd and 4th-year students who have mastered the fundamentals of chiropractic treatment, have passed a number of qualifying examinations, and have been approved to participate in the diagnosis and treatment of patients under the direct supervision of a licensed staff chiropractor. They gain important experience in the necessary patient management skills and professional patient relations. Interns in the clinics are involved in a variety of community service projects each year. The college operates one student health clinic and two community clinics. The college also maintains relationships with many private chiropractic offices at off-campus sites as part of a Community Based Internship (CBI) program, in which interns work in local chiropractic offices during their final term of clinical training.
