First Year CurriculumThe first year of the DC program emphasizes those basic sciences that constitute the building blocks of learning how human biology is organized and functions. Particular attention is given to human anatomy through hands-on dissection labs. Additionally over the first five terms students learn histology, physiology, biochemistry, neurophysiology, pathology, and microbiology. Simultaneously, with the thorough indoctrination of the basic sciences in human biology, students are introduced to the chiropractic sciences of biomechanics and palpitation, normal radiographic anatomy, and the manipulative arts.
